Welcome back to Lent term 2013 at Woodbridge School

Lots going on this term in addition to hard work on exams and exam preparation! In Music there is a full programme of concerts, recitals and competitions both at the School and outside venues. In the Sporting arena there is a full schedule of fixtures for hockey and netball at Senior School as well as rugby, football and swimming at the Abbey. Our Art department has trips at home and abroad. A number of Chess Competitions will give our chess players plenty to challenge them and the  Theatre schedule is packed with Drama and Dance lessons in addition to a variety of entertainments throughout the term and holidays. The breadth of activities is extensive and for a full list refer to your School Calendar. This new blog intends to support the Woodbridgian Weekly in both flagging up forthcoming activities as well as publishing reviews of the highlights. Please keep checking back from time to time and we wish you and your children a busy and productive Lent term.

WSPA Coffee & Croissants at the Seckford Theatre, 8.30 – 9.30, 15 January

Art classes for adults

Why not come along and try something new: block printing, clay modelling, pot building and glazing, painting, drawing or mixed media work?  Or you may just want to continue with your own work amongst friendly like-minded people.  If you are interested in joining the class next term please contact paulineacarr@yahoo.co.uk  or leave your details with Reception and you will be contacted.  Some of our students arrive at the start of the session and leave at 4pm, others stay and collect children at the end of school; we are very flexible.  Try out unfamiliar materials before you purchase.  Clay, firing, glazes and printing materials are included in the cost of the course.  Payment is on a half-term basis: January 5, 15, 22, 29.  February 5, 12.   Cost £72.  The classes take place on Tuesdays from 1.45 – 4.15 and the tutor is Mrs Carr.

Pre-season training will take place on the astro and run by Mr Miller and Mr Stacpoole on the following days and times:

Saturday 5 Jan: 10 – 12.30pm

Thursday 3 Jan: 1 – 4pm

Saturday 5 Jan: Training Match v Framlingham (A) 6pm, dep WBS at 4.30pm
